The Fernley Reporter
The Behavioral Health Task Force in Lyon County is convened monthly by Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties at the Silver Springs Community Center. Multiple county, federal, state and regional agencies convene to form collaborative strategies to increase access to behavioral health care in all communities in the Lyon County area.
The meeting is normally scheduled for the last Friday of every month, but due to the holidays the schedule will instead be:
Friday November 18, 2016 beginning at 8:30 p.m. There will be no regular meeting in December.
The agenda for the Nov 18th meeting is as follows:
1) Behavioral Health Strategic Planning Session coming up on Dec. 16th—your role and how to prepare
2) 10 Community Health Workers/Peer to Peer trained AmeriCorps members serving communities in Lyon County—their role and can they help your scope of work?
3) Discussion on Trauma Informed Care and how should this information imbue our daily work life?
4) Update about NACO (Nevada Association of Counties) by Edrie LaVoie, director of Lyon Human Services
5) Policy updates
6) Updates from members

Comment text: Maybe there is more to this story than what is reported, but it seems to me that the businesses that are causing this problem ought to be paying for this, or at least a major portion of it. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
