NHP identifies person killed in Nov. 25 crash as Fallon resident

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 25 as a Fallon woman.

NHP said Ashley Conatser, 26, of Fallon, was killed in the crash when the car she was riding in was hit by a pickup truck that ran a stop sign.

According to NHP, a black 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck was northbound on Nevada Pacific Parkway approaching the intersection with U.S. 50A at approximately 4:43 p.m. A gray 2013 Dodge Avenger was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50A in the far-right lane approaching Nevada Pacific Parkway. The Ford F-150 failed to stop at the posted stop sign and struck the Dodge Avenger.

Conatser was the passenger of the Avenger. She was transported via Careflight to an area hospital, where she later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.

This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - NHP Case #201101841.
