FIS to host Veterans Day Assembly Thursday

Fernley Intermediate School will honor those who have served out country at a special Veterans Day Assembly this Thursday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the FIS Gymnasium.
The school is asking that all local men and women who are serving or who have served in our nation’s military forces to join them, as this is a day for you and your families here at home to be recognized and honored.
Guests are asked to arrive between 1 and 1:25 p.m. to sign in and get comfortable, as the assembly will begin promptly at 1:30. Guests will be greeted and directed by FIS students. If you have or know a student that attends FIS, they are welcome and encouraged to accompany you throughout the ceremony.
In addition, FIS looking to create a “Hero’s Wall” to distinguish military service men and women in our community. They would appreciate being able to take your picture either before or after the assembly.
