Early voting starts Saturday

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Early voting for this year’s general election begins Saturday at Fernley City Hall.

Early voting will continue through Saturday, Nov. 31. Polls will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.

In local races, Fernley votes are choosing between Donald Parsons and Felicity Zoberski in the City Council Ward 2; William Burrows and Albert Torres in Ward 4; and Fran McKay and Chris Ward in Ward 5.

Three seats are up for grabs on the North Lyon County Fire Protection District Board of Directors, with Harry Wheeler, Dan McCassie, Paul Murphy, Ray Block, Pat Hon and Jay Rodriguez to choose from.

There are also races for the Fernley Swimming Pool GID, a Lyon County Commission seat, plus several statewide races, and the Presidential election is expected to drive a high voter turnout.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
