LCSD announces exclusions for COVID-19 cases at Silverland, Fernley Transportation Department

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Lyon County School District announced Thursday that one person has been excluded from Silverland Middle School and another was excluded from the Fernley Transportation Department for positive cases of COVID-19.

The District did not specify whether the case at Silverland was a student or a staff member. Students who are excluded from school will be provided distance learning opportunities by their classroom teacher.

The District said it is working in partnership with the Carson City Health and Human Services to conduct contact tracing in both cases. Silverland is following enhanced cleaning protocols per the CCHHS and Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
