Thorley to speak to Lyon County Democrats Saturday

Wayne Thorley, the appointed Deputy Secretary of State for Elections will be the guest speaker for the September meeting of the Lyon County Democratic Central Committee Saturday morning.

The meeting will be held via Zoom from 10 a.m. to noon. Other scheduled speakers are Congressional District 2 candidate Patricia Ackerman’ Nevada Supreme Court candidate Ozzie Fumo; Bonnie Bulla, who is running for reelection to the Nevada Court of Appeals; Deborah Chang, candidate for Assembly District 39; Lyon County Commission candidate Lendra Carr and Ian Montgomery, the Rural Organizer for Coordinated Campaign.

Thorley is responsible for overseeing the Secretary of State's Elections Division and administering the state’s election processes, including enforcing state and federal election laws and procedures.
