Three new Lyon County COVID-19 cases, nine recoveries reported Tuesday

Editor's note: I really screwed this headline up the first time. The correct numbers are three new cases, nine recoveries Tuesday.

Three new cases of COVID-19 and nine recoveries in Lyon County were reported Tuesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

Tuesday’s new cases are

  • A woman in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
  • A girl under the age of 18 with a connection to a previously reported case.
  • A woman in her 20’s with no connection to a previously reported case.

There have been 365 total cases in Lyon County, 44 of them currently active, with 315 recoveries and six deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Sept. 1, 160 total cases have been reported and 24 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 1,100 total cases, 989 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
