Republican candidate event being held Sept. 9

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Fernley Republican Women and the Lyon County Republican Central Committee invite the public to attend a meet and greet with Republican candidates for Lyon County Commissioner, Fernley City Council and North Lyon County Fire Board. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Carpet King parking lot at 785 Hwy. 95A South. This is your opportunity to chat one-on-one with the candidates and find out where they stand on current issues.

Fernley Republican Women is a group of women (and men as associate members) who share similar conservative values and ideals, and who are dedicated to increasing the influence and effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through political education and active political participation. For more information, contact Anita Trone at [email protected] or check the FRW website fernleyrepublicanwomen.com.

The Lyon County Republican Central Committee recruits, develops and helps elect conservative Republicans and promotes sound, honest and conservative Republican representative government at local, state and national levels; and helps preserve and protect the dignity, rights, freedom and liberty of the individual citizen. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
