14 new Lyon County COVID-19 cases, 15 recoveries reported

Monday’s update by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center included 14 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 recoveries in Lyon County since Friday.

Quad-County EOC does not provide updates over the weekend, although its database is updated daily.

Of those, five cases and four recoveries were reported Monday, with nine cases and 11 recoveries over the weekend.

Monday’s new cases are a woman in her 80s, a woman in her 20s, two women in their 30s and a man in his 40s. None of them had a connection to a previously reported case

There have been 332 total cases in Lyon County, 40 of them currently active, with 286 recoveries and six deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 30, 141 total cases have been reported and 17 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 1,021 total cases, 921 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
