Chamber presents annual awards

The Fernley Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning awarded its annual awards to honors its top businesses, nonprofit organizations and citizen members for 2019.

The awards were scheduled to be presented at the Chamber’s Celebrating Success Gala, which was canceled this year due to restrictions on social gatherings due to COVID-19.

This year’s winners were:

Small Business Award: The Nest

Large Business Award: Nevada State Bank

Distinguished Citizen Award: Fire Chief Jason Nichols

Non-Profit Award: Fern 45 and Fernley Rotary (Tie)

Pillar of the Community Award: Kelly Brye
