Seven Lyon County COVID-19 cases, three recoveries reported Friday

Seven new cases of COVID-19 and three recoveries in Lyon County were reported Friday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new cases are a woman in her 80s with a connection to a previously reported case, a woman in her 70s with a connection to a previously reported case, a man in his 70s with a connection to a previously reported case, a man in his 90s with a connection to a previously reported case, a man in his 50s with a connection to a previously reported case, a man in his 70s with no connection to a previously reported case and a man in his 30s with no connection to a previously reported case.

There have been 201 total cases in Lyon County, 42 of them currently active, with 154 recoveries and five deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. July 30, 86 total cases have been reported and 11 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

In all, there have now been 681 total cases, 534 recoveries and 12 deaths in the Quad-County region. Ten Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
