Johnson, Condie win Chamber of Commerce scholarships

The Fernley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its two 2020 Fernley Chamber of Commerce Scholarship recipients: Colby Johnson and Celeste Condie.

Colby Johnson


The Chamber’s mission is to “Develop and support programs which stimulate our business environment, promote community growth and enrich our civic and social landscape.” The Chamber will be giving each of these deserving young women $1,000 toward their continuing education.

Celeste Condie


Both awardees share many successful traits. Both have weighted GPAs of at least 4.0 and have had at least two years of being 3-sport athletes. Both young women have been accepted at universities outside Nevada. Colby Johnson will attend Ottawa University and Celeste Condie will attend the University of Idaho. Each applicant showed an exceptional amount of appreciation for Fernley and the Fernley Chamber as well as performed volunteer work for the community.
