Sheriff’s Office seeking witnesses to bicycle crash

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is looking for witnesses to a bicycle crash that happened Friday night near the intersection of Farm District Road and Country Ranch Road.

Deputies responded at approximately 11 p.m. May 22 to a report of an injured bicyclist who had been struck by either a motor vehicle or a second bicyclist.

They found the victim, but due to non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident, the victim was only able to provide limited information as to what had occurred. Attempts to locate and identify the other driver or bicyclist were unsuccessful.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information pertaining to this incident to please contact Deputy Santos in reference to case number 20LY02017. Deputy Santos can be reached through the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center at (775) 577-5023.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
