Three Lyon County COVID-19 cases reported Saturday

Three new confirmed cases of COVID-19, including the first positive result from the community-based asymptomatic testing, were reported Saturday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The patients testing positive were a man in his 60s and a man in his 40s, while the person who tested positive as part of the asymptomatic testing was a woman in her 50s.

Lyon County now has 40 total cases, with 20 active and 20 recoveries.

In all, there were five new confirmed cases, seven recoveries and one death in the Quad-County region Saturday.

The death was a Carson City resident in his 60s. It is unknown if he had underlying health conditions.

One of the new cases is in Carson City and the other is in Douglas County, and all seven new recoveries are in Carson City.

In the Quad-County region, there have been 116 confirmed cases, 79 recoveries and two deaths. There are two Quad-County residents hospitalized due to COVID-19.

A total of 1,374 people have been tested as part of the community-based asymptomatic testing. Quad-County EOC has gotten 456 of those test results back so far, with only the one positive result.
