Fernleyreporter.com

Think you’re funny? Does your dog dance? Can you do the 2-step? Able to throw your voice? Can you swallow a sword? Got a trick up your sleeve, or a karate chop you’d like to show off?

Show your talent at the Fernley Multi-Cultural Festival next Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26.

The Fernley Multi-Cultural Festival is celebrating its 10th year.

They will be having a talent contest on Saturday at 2 p.m. and on Sunday the finalists will perform.

Repeat Offender will perform rock and oldies, Exit 48 plays Southern rock and blues, New Beginnings will provide Christian music and Steve Foy Band brings a combination of 40s 50s 60s and 70s music.

Comstock Civil War Re-Enactors open the Festival with the Civil War Color Guard, skits throughout the day and Civil War Dances and Fernley Mayor Edgington will fire the Civil War cannon.

The Fernley Wadsworth Lions Club will be offering free eye checkups, and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) will answer questions on senior services in the area.

There will also be bounce houses, hamster balls, a rock climbing wall for the kids and much more.

A Sunday service will be offered at 9:30 a.m.

A collection barrel will be available for nonperishable items to be donated to the local food pantry.

For more information, call Maria at (775) 575-0717 or Bobbie at (775) 575-1803.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
