Shirley (O’Conor) Beamer passed away peacefully in Fernley, Nevada on December 18, 2019 at the age of 75. Shirley was born in La-Junta, Colorado and graduated from Rangley High. After moving to California with her family, Shirley discovered her passion in newspaper production. She worked for several papers including Sierra Sun in Truckee, Daily Republic in Fairfield, Benicia Herald in Benicia and was production manager of The Roseville Press Tribune in Roseville. Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years William, and sons Dean (Jeannette) and Keith Beamer. Grandchildren (children of Dean) Alicia (Kevin) Pharis and Blake Beamer. Great grandchildren Charlotte and Evelyn Pharis. She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family and friends. No services will be held per Shirley’s wishes.

Comment text: Maybe there is more to this story than what is reported, but it seems to me that the businesses that are causing this problem ought to be paying for this, or at least a major portion of it. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
