The Nevada Veterans Coalition will conduct its 19th mission of the Missing in Nevada Project at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery [NNVMC] by honoring 15 veterans whose remains have been in the care of a local mortuary, yet remained unclaimed.
Services will be conducted with full military honors for the following 15 veterans at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept 13, 2019 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, in Fernley.
- Robert Shields (1905-1986) served in the US Army 30 Jan 1943 - 17 Sep 1945 WWII TEC 4
- Samuel Shimkus (1915-1984) served in the US Army 29 Oct 1941 - 20 Sep 1945 WWII
