Relay for Life begins Saturday

Relay for Life begins Saturday

Courtesy Jill Switzer, Fernley Relay for Life

The Relay for Life of Fernley and Rural Nevada will be held at the Out-of-Town Park in Fernley on July 13-14 from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Please join us as we celebrate progress made in the fight against cancer, honor survivors and caregivers, and remember loved ones who have lost their fight against the disease.

Our theme this year is “How the West Cures Cancer.”

There will be food, entertainment, raffles, auctions, games, and fun for the whole family as we walk the track for 24 hours, symbolizing our round-the-clock commitment to creating a World Without Cancer.

All proceeds benefit the Relay for Life of Fernley and Rural Nevada and the American Cancer Society.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
