Jon Osborn, former fire board member dies
Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Jon Osborne, a former member of the North Lyon County Fire Protection District board of directors, has died.

The North Lyon County Fire Protection District announced the passing of Osborn with a statement Tuesday:

Jon Osborn

“Jon was a former Director, Volunteer, Friend and valued member of our North Lyon Fire Family. He gave so much to our community, always lending a helping hand with a smile and a joke.

Our Fire district and community are better because of Jon. We will miss him more that words can express.”

Osborn resigned from the fire board earlier this year after he moved from the district for work purposes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at the North Lyon Fire Station 61, at 195 E. Main St.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
