The Lyon County Library Foundation is hosting the Fall Fundraiser, Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Pioneer Crossing Casino Convention Center at 11 North Main Street in Downtown Yerington. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with an Open Bar and Meet and Greet. The main dinner will proceed at 6:30 PM.  There will also be a silent auction for a fundraiser.

The featured guest will be Brian Crane, author and creator of the well-loved cartoon strip “Pickles”. Crane is a resident of Reno and a big supporter of public libraries.

The menu includes barbecue ribs and chicken, corn on the cob, baked potato, Pioneer calico beans, salad, fresh fruit, and apple cobbler.

Tickets are $25, and funds will help support Lyon County Libraries. Please RSVP by Oct. 12 at (775) 722-5452 or to [email protected]. Tickets are also available at your local library branch.

The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
