A Stitch of Country quilt shop has donated a pair of custom made quilts for upcoming local events.

The shop has donated an orange quilt with black patterns for the Fernley High School Girls Basketball Extravaganza, which will be held on Oct. 8 at Fernley High School. The event includes diner, a raffle and silent auction and all proceeds go to help the girls basketball program with the costs of travel, uniforms, tournament fees, assistant coaches pay and other costs.

The shop also donated a quilt designed for an infant to the Legacy Fore Life golf tournament, which is being held Sept. 24 at the Golf Club at Fernley. All profits from Legacy Fore Life go directly to the Fernley Crisis Pregnancy Center.
