Foster/adoptive parent training scheduled

A series of classes are being offered for people who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services will be holding foster/adoptive parent training in the Aspen Auditorium B on the lower level of the Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center, 1600 Medical Parkway in Carson City on three dates in August.

The training dates are:

  • Friday, August 10: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Saturday, August 11: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Sunday, August 12: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


All three classes are required for general foster/adoptive parents. Relative and Fictive Kin applicants need only complete Saturday, August 11.
