The Art Indeed Gallery hosted an open house to celebrate its new home in Fernley on Friday. Rachael McCoy, the owner of Touch of Paradise massage, knew she wanted to have a gallery in her business after working at a salon in Reno that also had art displays, so she contacted the owner of Art Indeed in Reno, Janet Pirozzi and, as they say, the rest is history. Pirozzi says, “I not only have a gallery in Reno, I am also an artist specializing in water color, abstract and acrylic.”

Fernley's gallery is curated by Chad Rice, regional artist and Fernley High School teacher. “When this opportunity came, they needed someone to oversee the gallery in Fernley so Rachael and Janet asked me to mange and curate the shows. The shows will rotate quarterly.,” notes Rice.

Additionally, Art Indeed Gallery/Touch of Paradise also sponsored a book signing by Northern Nevada author and visual artist, Monique Rebelle. In her book, Transcendence Calling,Rebelle describes her journey to spiritual enlightenment and discusses how her readers, by using kundalini rising, may also find happiness in their lives. Rebelle was born in Poland and worked in Holland, England and France before moving to the United States. She has lived in America for 30 years. Rebelle says, “I came to Reno because I needed to get out of LA and reduce the tension in my life.” Rebelle's book is available on Amazon.

The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am-6pm

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
