LCSO receives grant from Firehouse Subs

On Wednesday, April 11, before a packed lunch hour crowd at Firehouse Subs in Carson City, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office was officially recognized by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation with its grant towards the LCSO's K-9 Program.

On hand for the Sheriff's Office was Sheriff Al McNeil, Commander Rob Hall and Deputy Wayne Hawley, and from Firehouse Subs was Scott Kinner, Damon Kreizenbeck, and Patrick Lindsay. But the star of the event was the photogenic and ever crowd-pleasing K-9 Borys.

Through the generosity of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, the LCSO was able purchase K-9 Borys, provide a vehicle uplift designed for a K-9, and cover the cost of the K-9 Handler Certification Course.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
