The Fernley Reporter
The Fernley High School cross country team is putting on a 5K and 2.5K run on Feb. 10 as a fundraiser to raise money for its summer running camp.
The 5K course is the same course that the high school team races on during its home cross country meet.
The cost for racers 18 years old and younger is $15 (with race t-shirt) or $10 (without). Adults are $25 (with race t-shirt) or $20 (without). Shirts will only be available to racers whose registration was received by Feb. 1.
If you would like to support the team, but don’t want to race, donations are gladly accepted. Make checks payable to: FHS Cross Country. Mail to: Todd Wright, 155 Westward Ln, Fernley, NV 89408 or drop off at Fernley Elementary School.
If you have more questions, call (775) 229-2275.

Comment text: Maybe there is more to this story than what is reported, but it seems to me that the businesses that are causing this problem ought to be paying for this, or at least a major portion of it. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
