School district hosting parent transition workshops

School district hosting parent transition workshops

The Lyon County School District is hosting informational nights for our parents who have students on an IEP or 504. These informational sessions will go over the resources and opportunities available to students with disabilities after high school. There is an array of services and programs for students of all disability types and levels of severity, so there will likely be useful information for all attendees. Our district Transition Coordinator will also be covering the transition plan in the IEP and what parents should be looking for during IEP meetings for their students who are 14 and older.

The Lyon County School District is committed to creating improved outcomes for our students with disabilities so that they are productive and included members of their communities. These informational sessions are one example of several initiatives the Lyon County School District is developing toward this goal.

Please see the following links for more detailed information on the 2018 sessions in your community. Please sign, date and return the second page by February 1, 2018.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
