Grand opening for new Senior Center set Monday

Lyon County and the City of Fernley will celebrate the grand opening of the new Fernley Senior Center and the Lyon County Human Services Complex Monday afternoon.

The ceremony is set to begin at 1:15 p.m. at 105 Lois Lane, behind the Fernley Depot.

The construction of the $6 million senior center began last October and was funded by Lyon County and the William N. Pennington Foundation.
