WHO IS THE FERNLEY REPORTER?

Robert Perea, Publisher/Editor

Robert has spent 23 years as a professional journalist, 16 of them as a reporter and photographer for the Mason Valley News and Fernley Leader-Dayton Courier. He has also been sports editor of the Carlsbad (NM) Current-Argus and worked as a reporter for the Reno Gazette-Journal. He has also written extensively as a freelancer for newspapers such as the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Fresno Bee, San Diego Union-Tribune and Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Robert was voted the Nevada Press Association’s Outstanding Journalist in 2015, and has won numerous other NPA awards for news writing, sports writing and photography.
