44 Lyon County COVID-19 cases, 17 recoveries reported this week

The Quad-County Emergency Operations Center reported 44 new cases of COVID-19 and 17 recoveries in Lyon County in the past week.
The 44 cases were the most in any single seven-day period since the county’s first case was announced March 25. The week also included the two days with the single most cases. There were two cases Sunday, followed by 11 Monday, three Tuesday 12 Wednesday, nine Thursday and seven Friday. Quad County EOC is no longer reporting cases on weekends, although it’s database is updated daily.
There have been 266 total cases in Lyon County, 69 of them currently active, with 191 recoveries and six deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 3, 114 total cases have been reported and 26 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 869 total cases, 688 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
