Family-Owned WINGERS Franchise Set to Open in Fernley

Family-Owned WINGERS Franchise Set to Open in Fernley

Fernley is expected to welcome a new locally owned restaurant later this month as a family-owned WINGERS Restaurant & Alehouse prepares to open in the former Reds location at 1330 U.S. Highway 95A North.

Owner Juanita Gaeta recently introduced her family to the community on social media, sharing that she, her husband and their 5-year-old are lifelong Northern Nevadans who are in the process of making Fernley their home. Gaeta said the family has spent the past six months remodeling the restaurant and has been encouraged by the warm reception they've received from local residents.

"I come from a real estate background, but restaurants and food are my true love," Gaeta wrote, noting she has worked in the restaurant industry since she was young. Her husband, who works in construction, has been leading the renovation of the building.

The restaurant will be managed by Julian Carvajal, another Northern Nevadan with more than 20 years of restaurant experience.

According to Gaeta, the family is excited to become part of the Fernley community and hopes to earn the support of local residents as they open their doors. The business is also hiring and expects employee training to begin soon.

The City of Fernley recently welcomed the new business, saying it is excited to see another restaurant choose Fernley and noting that the familiar location will receive a fresh new chapter.

Founded in 1993 in Bountiful, Utah, WINGERS has grown from a single restaurant into a regional franchise known for its signature wings, handcrafted sauces, burgers, salads and casual family-friendly atmosphere.

Gaeta has indicated the restaurant is targeting a July 13 opening, pending the completion of final improvements and approvals.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
