FEMA issues Letter of Map Revision for city of Fernley

The City of Fernley is informing residents that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued an update, known as a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), to the flood maps for the City of Fernley.

What has changed: Certain areas along Highway 95A have been updated from “Zone A” to “Zone AE,” which now has defined flood elevations. The area on the east side has been designated Zone AO, meaning shallow flooding may occur in this area and new floodplain rules may apply.

Where can I find the data: Residents can view the revised maps at City Hall, on the City’s website, or by contacting the City Manager’s Office.
