Nevada Health Centers has launched a mobile medical unit to improve access to healthcare in rural areas. Based in northern Nevada, the Mobile Medical Services unit removes barriers to care by visiting rural towns, parking for the day, and offering a full schedule of primary care appointments.
Dr. Carol Alley leads the mobile staff to deliver quality medical care to both children and adults. They offer the same services offered at a traditional brick and mortar doctor’s office. It’s basically a family practice on wheels. It has two exam rooms and a small laboratory. The mobile unit provides: full examinations, well-child/adolescent care, sick visits and acute care, immunizations, prescriptions for medications, and lab testing (established patients only).
