The City of Fernley has asked the University Center for Economic Development to assist in the development of a community-level Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. This community-level Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy will focus on developing specific actionable community and economic development projects and programs for businesses and property owners located along the City's existing Main Street corridor. The Main Street corridor is generally the area encompassing property along U.S. Hwy 50 Alt. from the intersection of W. Main Street and I-80 to the roundabout at E. Main Street and Farm District Road and from U.S. Hwy 50 Alt. along U.S. Hwy 95 Alt. to Fernley High School.
The City of Fernley is inviting business owners and property owners located within the City's existing Main Street corridor to attend a series of business owner and property owner community meetings. The purpose of these meetings will be to discuss business and property owner needs in order to inform the development of specific programs and projects to support continued community and economic development within the Main Street corridor. These community meetings will be informal and an opportunity to share your concerns and ideas with facilitators with the University Center for Economic Development.
Two separate business owner community meetings and two separate property owner community meetings have been set up to accommodate individual schedules. If you are a business owner or a property owner located within the City's existing Main Street corridor, you only need to attend one of these community meetings as the agenda for each meeting will be the same.
Business Owner Community Meeting No. 1, Friday, March 11, 2022; 5-8 p.m.
Business Owner Community Meeting No. 2, Saturday, March 12, 2022; 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Property Owner Community Meeting No. 1, Friday, March 18, 2022; 5-8 p.m.
Property Owner Community Meeting No. 2, Saturday, March 19, 2022; 10:00 a.m.-1 p.m.
All four meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers at City of Fernley City Hall.
