Second straight day with no new Lyon County COVID-19 cases Monday

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

For the second consecutive day, there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lyon County on Monday, according to the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

Lyon County’s total remains at 26 confirmed cases, with five recoveries, no deaths and 21 cases still active.

There were two cases reported Monday by Quad-County EOC, both in Carson City. That brings the region’s total to 84 cases, with 52 of those still active.

Three Quad-County residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Quad-County EOC will begin testing for those without symptoms next Monday, May 4. The Quad-County EOC experienced technical difficulties due to an issue with the phone line provider for the registration line for community-based testing. The number to schedule a test for those without symptoms has now been changed to (775) 434-1450. There are limited appointments and testing will be available in each of the four counties in the region. The specific location will be given when the appointment is scheduled.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
