City to issue notices to non-essential businesses remaining open

City to issue notices to non-essential businesses remaining open

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

In order to maintain compliance with the Governor’s directive ordering non-essential businesses to close to the public, the City of Fernley will begin implementation of the following process.

The City will address non-compliance with a written notice to licensed “non-essential” businesses within the City of Fernley that continue to operate with their doors open to the public. As a reminder, this directive is intended for non-essential businesses only. The Governor has outlined non-essential sectors in his emergency directive, which can be viewed here: http://www.cityoffernley.org/DocumentCenter/View/23929/2020-03-20Declaration-of-EmergencyDirective-003.

The City of Fernley expresses our appreciation for the business community and to those businesses who are sacrificing in order to follow the rules set by the Governor. The City will work to ensure that all are in compliance in order to keep Nevadans healthy and safe.

The public can notify the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at (775) 463-6620 or contact the Fernley City Clerk’s Office at [email protected] or (775) 784-9830.

For additional information or questions, contact the City Manager’s Office at (775) 784-9858
