Twelve adults have completed testing to obtain their Certificate of High School Equivalency and fulfilled the necessary requirements to go on and begin new opportunities.
Families will join Northern Nevada Literacy Council staff members, teachers and families as they celebrate the culmination of the students’ testing in ceremonies at 10:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Thursday at 1400 Wedekind Road in Reno.
NNLC’s programs are designed to prepare students through self-paced courses with ongoing enrollment. This enables them to focus on key concepts for testing and help them reach their goal of receiving their high school equivalency and go on to college or vocational goals.
About Northern Nevada Literacy Council: The Northern Nevada Literacy Council was founded in 1978 and incorporated in 1983. Comment text: Maybe there is more to this story than what is reported, but it seems to me that the businesses that are causing this problem ought to be paying for this, or at least a major portion of it. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
