The Alamo stands as a structure of historic endurance while people in other parts of the state of Texas begin to rebuild from hurricane Harvey.
Alamo Annie offers a brief introductory to the history of the Alamo by providing images of activities seen through a small girl’s eyes.
Annie believes she doesn’t belong. Not to her family, not at school, not anywhere. She wonders why she doesn’t fit in.

Author/Illustrator, Mary Jean Kelso, descends from Alamo Defender Gordon C. Jennings.
Her genealogy research on her great great grandfather, and many trips to participate in the annual March 6 (the date the Alamo fell) activities provided the background to create Alamo Annie.
Kelso writes books for children, tweens, young adults and adults in a multitude of genres. Her books are published as e-books, hardbacks, paperbacks, audio and Braille editions.
All of her titles are available through regular outlets or at her website http:s//www.maryjeankelsoauthor.wixsite.com/mjkel.
