Two new Lyon County COVID-19 cases, one recovery reported Wednesday

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new cases are a man in his 80s and a woman in her 20s, both with no known connection to a previous case.

Lyon County has had a total of 94 confirmed cases, with 69 of them having recovered. There have been two deaths in the county due to COVID-19.

As of 6 p.m. June 16, 41 cases have been in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC.

In the Quad County region, there have now been 266 total cases, 195 recoveries and seven deaths. Six Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Drive-through COVID-19 testing for Quad-County residents without symptoms will be available from 8-11 a.m. Friday, June 19 at Dayton High School. There will be 200 tests available.
