Thrive Wellness Brings Locally Minded, Holistic Healthcare to Northern Nevada

Northern Nevada’s only all-inclusive mental health clinic celebrates expanding healthcare services and growth

RENO, Nev. (October 21, 2019) –– Thrive Wellness offers the only “comprehensive wellness clinic” for mental health services in northern Nevada. Providing both dual-diagnosis partial hospitalization programming and intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment, the clinic also extends specialized care in anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, perinatal mood disorders and more.

The holistic treatment center, the first of its kind in the area, was created with a global perspective on mental healthcare in mind, scaled to serve its clients on a local and personal level. Kat Geiger, LCSW, CEDS –– Thrive Wellness’ founder –– began operations of the clinic in March of this year in response to the disjointed nature of mental and physical health care locally.

“Thrive Wellness offers a treatment team approach to all clients,” said Geiger. “The best outcomes for clients come from a multidisciplinary team with effective communication. Thrive Wellness’ staff members work together on a daily basis to determine the best possible individualized treatment plan for each client. We know based on a large body of research that integrating physical and mental health treatment improves outcomes for both. When you take into consideration individuals who struggle with eating disorders or struggle with perinatal mental health, the integration of physical and mental health care becomes critical.”

Thrive Wellness offers the full gamut of outpatient services, including individual therapy, family therapy, primary medical care, psychiatric services, medication management, nutrition therapy, and group therapy. For those seeking more intensive services for eating disorders, the clinic offers partial hospitalization/day treatment (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Thrive Wellness accepts clients aged eight and up.

“We’re here to help,” Geiger said. “We know when a family member’s mental health begins to spiral, it can be an immensely stressful time, especially when you have to wait for months to see a specialist. Our goal is to see and treat clients within a timely fashion. We want our clients to have the best possible outcomes.”

Thrive Wellness currently accepts many major health insurances. Furthermore, the clinic is expanding rapidly and is slated to move into the historic Roy House on Court Street in January 2020. To schedule your first intake, or to inquire further about the clinic’s services, call (775) 525-8103 or email info@thrivewellnessreno.com.
