Ten Lyon County COVID-19 cases, 23 recoveries reported since Friday

There have been 10 new cases of COVID-19 and 23 recoveries in Lyon County since Friday, according to the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The Quad-County EOC does not provide updates over the weekend, but its database is updated daily. According to that database, there were two new cases reported Saturday, and four each Sunday and Monday. According to the same database, there was one recovery Saturday, 17 Sunday and five Monday.

The new cases reported Monday are a boys under the age of 18 with no connection to a previously reported case, man in his 40s with no connection to a previously reported case, a girl under the age of 18 with a connection to a previously reported case and a girls in her teens with no connection to a previously reported case.

There have been 303 total cases in Lyon County, 38 of them currently active, with 259 recoveries and six deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 23, 132 total cases have been reported and 26 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 952 total cases, 854 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
