Fernley’s Biggest Little Radio played host to the first Fernley Kite and Frisbee Festival at the Out of Town Park on July 24.
Biggest Little Radio owner and afternoon on-air personality JFierce Rodriguez said the station plans to make it an annual event.
Free Frisbees and kites were presented to the first 100 participants, and vendors on site included Anytime Fitness, Caitlin Olsen’s Beards and Lace, Sierra Shine Jewelry, Liberty Fitness, Pioneer Crossing, V&E Party Rentals and Ivy Ward, Ivy the Artist, while local band Western Express performed live.
The event was a fundraiser toward the station’s effort of making a 100 percent acquisition of KRNG 101.3 FM. The station broadcasts on 101.3 FM from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 24 hours per day at biggestlittleradio.com.
