One new Lyon County COVID-19 case, two recoveries reported Wednesday

One new cases of COVID-19 and two recoveries in Lyon County were reported Tuesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new case announced Tuesday was a man in his 30s with a connection to a previously reported case, and brings the county’s total number of cases to 121. The two recoveries bring the total number of recoveries to 92. There have been two deaths in the county due to COVID-19.

As of 6 p.m. June 29, 56 cases have been in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

In all, there were eight new cases and 12 recoveries in the Quad-County region Tuesday. There have now been 354 total cases, 255 recoveries and seven deaths in the Quad-County region. Ten Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
