Notice of Hearing for Validity of Contract

NOTICE OF HEARING FOR VALIDITY OF CONTRACT

IN THE TENTH JUDICIAL COURT OF THE STATE OF NEVADA

IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF CHUCHILL

In the Matter of the Submission of a Contract for Judicial Determination of Validity and Authority of the Board of Directors of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District to Enter into Such Contract as Provided for by NRS 539.305.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR DETERMINATION OF VALIDITY AND AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE UNITED STATES FOR THE REPAYMENT OF FUNDS FOR THE REPAIR OF THE TRUCKEE CANAL.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District (District) has filed in the above-entitled Court a petition entitled “Petition for Determination of Validity and Authority To Enter Into A Contract With The United States For The Repayment Of Funds For The Repair Of The Truckee Canal.”

The District requests that the validity of the contract, and the authority of the District to enter such contract, be approved and confirmed, and that the contract be given conclusive effect.

A hearing on the Petition will be conducted on Tuesday the 23rd day of August, at the hour of 9:00 o’clock a.m. at the Churchill County Courthouse, 73 North Maine Street, Fallon, Churchill County, Nevada. Notice of the hearing to be conducted herein shall be given by publication for a period of two (2) consecutive weeks, prior to the week in which the hearing shall be conducted, in a qualified newspaper of general circulation.

Copies of the Petition and contract are available for inspection at the following locations: the office of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District, 2666 Harrigan Road, Fallon, Nevada; the Churchill County Clerk’s Office, 55 north Taylor Street, Fallon, Nevada; Fernley City Hall, 595 Silver Lace, Fernley, Nevada; Fallon City Hall, 55 W. Williams Street, Fallon, Nevada; and the contract may also be viewed upon the District’s website at www.tcid.org.

Any person having an interest in the Petition may answer the same in writing, on or before the date set for hearing on the petition, or may appear in person at the hearing.
