Earn a baby-sitting certification in one day through Western Nevada College’s Continuing Education program on Saturday, Nov. 5. This 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. class on the Carson City campus will help you become the best baby sitter in your neighborhood.
This one-day class prepares teens and pre-teens to become professional and responsible baby sitters. In a training program developed by the American Red Cross, students will gain knowledge and understand their responsibilities when caring for children.
This fast-paced course includes role-playing, lively discussions and video instruction. First aid is also covered in this course.
In addition, students will be presented with some of the skills needed to become hired. They will learn interviewing techniques and what questions to ask during an interview.
The cost is $72 for the class, which is open to students ages 11 to 17.
To register for the class, go to www.campusce.net/wnc/. For more information, phone 775-445-4268 or email linda.whitehill@wnc.edu.
