This summer, Western Nevada College is offering a series of leadership development workshops to community members. Courses will include Strengths-Based Personal Development, Next Chapter: Leadership and Time Leadership, and are offered at a number of times to accommodate any schedule.

Strengths-Based Personal Development will provide participants with an introduction to the CliftonStrengths approach to leadership, with a focus on helping students tap into their unique talents and maximize their potential. Next Chapter: Leadership is a course designed for emerging leaders in business, non-profits and government, and will cover topics including supervision, productivity and values clarification. Time Leadership is a 3-hour workshop designed to help students master the key principles of time management, productivity, creativity and happiness.

“I am thrilled to be able to share my 20+ years of leadership experience with the local community by teaching at WNC,” says instructor Alissa Nourse. “I have chosen my favorite topics and most trusted skills for leadership development for each class.” Nourse is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and founder of Ninja Courage, a consultancy focused on leadership training, retreat facilitation and strengths-based coaching.
