Two new cases of COVID-19 and seven recoveries were reported in Lyon County Wednesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center, along with the region’s 13th death.
The cases reported Wednesday are a woman in her 30s with a connection to a previously reported case and a woman in her 50s with a connection to a previously reported case.
The person who died was a Carson City man in his 50s.
There have been 217 total cases in Lyon County, 40 of them currently active, with 172 recoveries and five deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 4, 98 total cases have been reported and 18 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. In all, there were seven new cases and 26 recoveries in the Quad-County region Wednesday. There have now been 740 total cases, 600 recoveries and 13 deaths in the Quad-County region.
