Two new cases of COVID-19 in Lyon County and the ninth death in the Quad County region were reported Tuesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
The new cases Tuesday were a man in his 20s with no connection to a previously reported case and a man in his teens over the age of 18 with a connection to a previously reported case.
The woman who died was a Carson City resident in her 60s with underlying health conditions.
In the Quad-County region, there were 12 new cases and 19 recoveries reported Monday.
There have been 161 total cases in Lyon County, 37 of them active, with 122 recoveries and two deaths.
As of 6 p.m. July 20, 74 total cases have been reported and 15 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. In all, there have now been 532 total cases, 382 recoveries and nine deaths in the Quad-County region. Thirteen Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
