Two new COVID-19 cases reported Friday

After four recoveries Wednesday and another Thursday with no new cases, the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Lyon County Friday.

The new cases are a woman in her 40s and a girl under the age of 18, both with connections to previously reported cases.

The new cases bring Lyon County’s total to 91 confirmed cases, with 61 of them having recovered. There have been two deaths in the county due to COVID-19.

As of 6 p.m. June 11, 39 of Lyon County’s cases have been in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC.

In the Quad County region, there have now been 246 total cases, 178 recoveries and seven deaths. Eight Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
