Sheriff’s Office asking for help finding missing Idaho man

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Idaho man who was last known to be in Northern Nevada on Nov. 27.

Billy Joe Mathis left his home in Jerome, Idaho on Nov. 26, but his whereabouts since Nov. 27 re unknown.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating his disappearance with the assistance of the Nevada State Police and other local law enforcement agencies.

Mathis’ vehicle is a black 2019 Jeep Compass 4-door SUV with Idaho license plate 2L84632.

Anyone who has any information regarding the whereabouts of Billy Joe Mathis is urged to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at (775) 463-6620 or by email at detective@lyon-county.org.
