A Sutcliffe resident has tested positive for COVID-19 and is hospitalized with underlying medical conditions, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe announced Monday evening.
For preventative measures, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal leadership recommends that all residents of Wadsworth, Nixon and Sutcliffe shelter in place, meaning finding a safe location indoors and staying there unless performing essential activities or services, and practice social distancing when out of the home accessing or providing those services. Essential activities and services are defined as those necessary for public health and safety.
The shelter in place action is effective immediately through April 10.
For updated information about COVID-19, go to the Washoe County Health Department website at www.washoecounty.us/health or the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe Facebook page.
